Al and Megan met on Hinge during unprecedented times, March of 2020. Their first two dates were via Facetime and Al’s personality really shone through the layers of technology. So much so that they agreed to go on a hike for their first ‘in person date’ so that they could meet while social distancing. Megan warned AL that her dogs were the litmus test, and that he needed to win their affection before he won hers. Needless to say, all three of them (Megan, Ryder, and Noel) were swooning within the first few minutes.

Megan and Al saw each other several times a week after their first in person date. They then went on their first trip together, where they went on their first advanced hike together. It may have been the lively conversation, draft beers the evening before, the extreme heat, or Megan’s fall at the beginning of the hike, but they managed to turn a five-hour hike into 10 hours. As the daylight quickly turned to night Al found a place to sleep for the night and Megan called the park rangers for a rescue. Their combined efforts, humor, and support cemented their relationship.

A few dozen trips, two cats, a dental office, and one house later; they are ecstatic to be able to celebrate the next stage of their life with you on September 28, 2024!
